A little about me...
Hey there! My name is Stephanie and I have always had a passon for creating and repurposing things. I love gift-giving and would constantly be at a loss with not knowing what to give people, especially the ones who have everything! I feel that gifts from the heart were always the ones I was most proud to give and always felt it carried the most sentimental value. I started off my creative journey by creating custom wood trays as housewarming and wedding gifts which then turned into a complete passion! From there, my custom trays then turned into other ideas that fueled my creative fire.
Now why "Saguaro Haus"? Yes, I am a born and raised Chicago girl, polar opposite from any gorgeous mountains, green botanical gardens, or desert sunsets. However, I have always been in love with western living and culture. My fiance went to college in Arizona which gave me plenty of reason to come and visit and ulimately fall in love. We both are in Chicago now but the "saguaro" life still remains one of our favorites!
The "Saguaro" (Sa-Wahr-Roh) is a type of large cactus, quite actually the most common and what people typically see out in the desert. This cactus is primarily found in Arizona and can also bloom flowers! This plant might grow slow but can withstand crazy conditions and blossom into something beautiful despite its rough exterior.
My home in Chicago is filled with decor resembling Arizona lifestyle, patterns of aztec, live potted cacti and some vintage western flair. Most often when people come by they call it a cactus house. When I think of cactus I am reminded of my happy place and where I have shared my most fondest of memories full of carefree adventure and warm days. So from my cactus house to yours, welcome to Saguaro Haus where you can find a piece of desert flair from anywhere ✿
With Love, Steph
